Frequently Asked Questions
How much exercise should my dog get a day?
The answer varies on the breed of dog you have. Generally dogs should get between 1-2 hours of exercise a day. Exercise is just as important for dogs as it is for humans. If you go to the gym every week, then so should your dog.
What are the benefits to running my dog on a treadmill?
Mental stimulation, physical stimulation, weight control, enjoyment, rehabilitation, behavioral issues and controlled exercise.
Why is a treadmill better then just running with my dog?
A treadmill offers a unique and often more effective workout for your dog than simply running alongside them. Our treadmills are set at a slight incline, and I use the brake to add gentle resistance, helping your pup build strength and stamina. Unlike outdoor runs, a treadmill requires your dog to actively focus on every step — thinking about their pace, adjusting to the moving surface, and staying balanced.
This isn’t just physical exercise — it’s mental stimulation, too. Mental work can tire a dog out just as much, if not more, than physical activity. On the treadmill, your dog experiences new smells, the sensation of the ground moving beneath them, varying speeds, and the challenge of learning how to control and trust the machine. All of this sparks problem-solving skills and keeps their brain engaged, making it an incredibly well-rounded workout for both body and mind.
